Sports have always been a part of my life. From when I was at the tender young age of comprehending what a ball was, to playing my final collegiate baseball game at Rockhurst University, I knew it was my passion. I always knew I did not possess the size or the natural talent to play professionally. But my love and passion for the game was not deterred. I have always known my career would have to involve some aspect of sports.
My goal is to obtain a position in sports, in either the communication, production or broadcast department.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from Rockhurst University. I played varsity baseball for five years, starting two years at catcher. During my undergraduate studies, I was an active member in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) whose goal was to enhance the overall student-athlete experience by maintaining a commitment to academic and athletic experience while promoting diversity, serving as ambassadors to the community and acting as liaisons between every Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athlete, the conference office, and the NCAA..
In May, I will graduate with a Master's of Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in Management from the Helzberg School of Business at Rockhurst University. In my capacity as Graduate Assistant for the Sports Information Director, I was afforded the opportunity to take the lead and create many varied and unique projects. This position has given me the opportunity to strengthen my skills as well as learn new techniques, software, and knowledge and utilization within the broadcast realm.
